My first Otakon was pretty ace. Rooming with people i had never met before was even ok. Plus, it got me out of here for a while & being able to do whatever, really. Definitely need to remember how much everything i got cost/ hunt down receipts & see the total damage. (This won't be good.)

But it was good. Got to meet three Japanese bands (The Underneath, Daizy Stripper, & MarBell) & got autographs & pictures, & was speaking to them in elementary Japanese (one of the guys from one of the bands, either The Underneath or MarBell, recognized my Blind Guardian shirt!). The Q&A session beforehand with all three bands was entertainingly uncensored. (So wrong. xD) I was bored on Friday so i randomly watched the live action DeathNote movie, despite knowing next to nothing about the series. (Am waiting to be killed by DeathNote fans as a poser.) They showed Macross Flashback 2012, though! Definitely went & watched it. Go old school anime~. Also, also: bought Japanese Dragon Knights manga. Numbers 2, 3, & 26 (& already have 11). Yay~.

There really are no pictures, except for those of the bands & one i took of a Robin & Neo fighting late Saturday night, plus a hug line. I was too shy to ask cosplayers if i could take their pictures; it feels so creepy. But especially yesterday, i saw an awesome Saiyuki group, a Kenshin & Sano, & this guy who was cosplaying Spike who really looked like him. But i didn't take pictures of them, because i felt creepy. So what am i going to use the last eighteen exposures for....? Mneh.

Didn't cosplay this year, but if i go next year, i have a few ideas. Two, really. Obscure &/or old school.

So there was a lot that went on & it was all pretty ace. :) So i just might go back next year. ;)

Meanwhile, trying to figure out a bit of the second DK. The bit where, in the English version, it reads something like, "It can't be helped. She's dead, remember? And it's kind of your fault." Alfeegi talking to Ruwalk after Salazar goes away. The original text reads thus (i typed in the names :p):

しかたありませんね
Sarazarはすでに
死んでいる方ですから
半分は
ruwalkの
せいですよ

Am confused. The first bit, i figure, could either be "The resources don't exist (? shikata= resource/way/method/means; arimasen= doesn't exist (inanimate obj), & 'ne' is kind of colloquial)" or "It can't be helped, can it?" (Shikataganai= it can't be helped.)

Then, maybe something like, "Salazar is already dead [a dead person]," though then what about the ending (desukara= so; therefore)?

The last bit is most difficult. I thought the 'no' was a connector, & then there's an obvious 'desu yo' ending. But there's no definition for 'sei' that would work. Instead, the translator gave me 'noseide,' because of; caused by. The two kanji at the beginning read 'hanbun' (half), so it seems to read something like, "It's half because of you [Ruwalk]." But then, i'm just guessing, & my grammar is horrible, no matter what language it is.

By the way, anyone who took any of the music i posted in my last entry, can you please leave a comment? Just so i know? And because i want to know what other people think of the music i tend to listen to? (Eheh.)
