seriously
So i am a huge hypocrite-- i went & got stuff from Starbucks. I know, i'm horrible. But i've been having a very persistent headache & was wondering if caffiene truly remedies it, or if something being ingested would help at all. So i got a small pumpkin spice latte thing & a cookie with M&Ms in. And they taste good. The latte is good. Ohhh, going to hell. So, today: First, saw a different kind of Jesus fish on a car. It was the fish, & inside it said, "N' CHIPS." Brilliant. Astronomy: The Professor mentioned in passing that Kepler thought there were cosmic brooms that moved the planets around on their orbit. Seriously, Kepler? Then, coming out of Astronomy: There were two girls outside Cook Library, standing on either side of the doors, blowing bubbles. Most people were all, "WTF" & ignoring or sneaking around them, but a few were, "Yay bubbles!" I drew them. They said it was for a sociology project. Japanese: We had to make a "can do" sentence to ask someone. Kate came up with the brilliant "Kaze no iro ga kakemasuka?" Which was the rought translation of, "Can you paint with [all] the colors of the wind?" Sensei called on Ying-Yu to ask her sentence. She turned dramatically to face Kate. "Keeeeeeeeeto-saaaaaan," she said; Kate sat there & went, "Iiya, iiya!" (No, no!) "JUDO KURAPPA GA DEKIMASUKA?!" Kate: "HAI, DEKIMASU!!" *JUDO CLAP COMMENSES* We die. Sensei: "Hai, judo kurappu..." The rest of the class: Faces of stone at us. As per usual. The Judo Clap is essentially Kate holding up her hand, saying, "Judo Kurappu!" & having a fairly forceful high-five with someone else. I am rolling my eyeballs at you, America. What, can't handle Heather having Two Mommies? Can't handle puberty & Things That Are Going To Happen? Lame, America, lame. Aw, cookie's gone, & soon the latte will be, too. It's finally raining! Yay. And Halloween is coming up. Want to attempt to get in one last year of trick or treating before i have to conform to all the depressed adults & cease such activities. Especially since now, i really have no one to go with. Last year i got stuck with my cousin Jay & his friends, so i was a complete outsider. (Goodbye, latte.) But really do want to give it a go at least one more year. Sooo, this "Quarantine" movie looks pretty creepy. Chiefly because it means you're stuck in a building with something, & no one will let you out. If you try to escape, the people who have quarantined the building will shoot you. (Though seeing "zombies" is discouraging. They're so overrated.) Of course, it's a remake of a Spanish film. Come on, America. First the Japanese, now the Spaniards? Stealing other people's horror ideas; shame on you. Of course, still want to know what happens. But i have an aversion to watching movies to find out what happens, & would much rather wait for them to come out & read the spoilers. (Well, at least know how [REC], the Spanish original goes & ends. Damn.) But yeah! So watch this for Halloween at any rate. Heheh. 2:33 p.m. | September 25, 2008 << |
