First, while it's nice for people to be happy over the first called African-American president, it would be prudent to remember that Obama is, in fact, mixed. He obviously cared for his white grandmother & was saddened by her death, so it seems that he doesn't reject either side of his heritage, so why should anyone else? Really, shouldn't it be an even greater thing? Unity & all that? I mean, come on.

Now that people are going to call me a racist for pointing something out, let's move on to why, California, why? Of all states, i never expected bigoted fundies to win in California. I am disgusted that anti-gay laws have been passed in states. One moment, people are exulting in Obama's overwhelming victory, the next, you're smacked in the face with the realization that idiotic, discriminatory laws just passed.

I just... seriously. People are such idiots. How could they let such a law pass? So stupid. So retrograde, so blasted, damnably homophobic. I wish that they could catch hell for being straight, so then maybe they'd know what it feels like to be hated just because you love who you love. Disgusting, California. Be ashamed of yourself.
